Delta District Capital Campaign

On July 1, 2024, DEED launched a $4.5 million capital campaign to expand the historic Delta Athenaeum and develop surrounding properties that comprise the Delta District. This project features renovations to improve accessibility and community resources, including the construction an adjacent 4-story building with innovative facilities for youth programs, health/wellness activities, performance arts, workforce training, and other non-profits.

The multi-year Capital Campaign targets $3.3 million in funding from a broad coalition of donors supporting DEED’s mission of educational and economic development: city, county, state, and federal government agencies; foundations and nonprofit organizations; corporate and small businesses; and neighborhood stakeholders and individuals. With this fundraising, DEED can seek an additional $1.2 million in New Markets Tax Credit financing for neighborhood redevelopment.

Please support the Delta District Campaign with tax-deductible contributions, which can be pledged for payment over a 25-month period. Total contributions of at least $1,250 will qualify for special donor recognition and discounted rental rates at the Delta Athenaeum.
